My Tour Diary: 1 Dhemaji to Jorhat

My Tour Diary: 1 Dhemaji to Jorhat
Hi, I am Aman. I am eight years old and student of class-II. This is my first travel diary that I am writing on my blog. I will try to note down interesting things in my future journeys and also will share with you all.

My parents were born and brought up in a place called Dhemaji. Dhemaji is a small town and also a District Headquarter of District Dhemaji of State Assam, in India. Dhemaji district is situated on the north bank of mighty Brahmaputra and the Dhemaji town is at a distance of about 65 km from Dibrugarh Univeristy. The town is situated in the foothills of Arunachal Pradesh. We have the Arunachal Pradesh boarder i.e. Jiadhalmukh Picnic spot, at around 15 kms from our home. My friends, I am giving you the screenshot of  approach route to Dhemaji from Dibrugarh via the famous Bogibeel Bridge.
Do you know friends, that before Bogibeel bridge was built, we have to go by boat to Dhemaji from Dibrugarh Side. The Boat journey used to take around 1 hour. The new Bogibeel bridge is of 4.94 km long and It is the Asia's 2nd longest rail cum-road bridge in India. Here is another interesting fact to tell, to build Bogibeel bridge, it took around 200 months and from Bogibeel it is only around 35km far to Arunachal Pradesh border. This bridge was opened on 25th December 2018. The cost of building this iconic bridge was 5960 Crores. But, this bridge has made the life of the people living in the north bank side of the Brahmaputra easier, by connecting by road to south bank and providing easy access to Assam Medical College and Dibruagrh University too.

Though, I and my younger brother Pablu were born in Mumbai. But, I like Dhemaji. Nalanipam village is the place where my father enjoyed his childhood. In our native house, our Grandmother Sasi Aita lives. She is a very dynamic lady and works daily in her kitchen garden to nurse the plants. I and Pablu are very fond of the Aita's kitchen garden. In the front of our home we have a little flower garden also. We love to plant and grow flower's in that garden.
There is a water tap available near the garden we take water from there and enjoy watering our plants. We also shower water to the plants of the leafy vegetables in the kitchen garden. In the last summer vacation I had planted 2 plants and when I went to see the plants again, I felt so happy. Because, the plants has grown with time!!
This time also, we worked in both Flower Garden and Kitchen Garden. We learned to grow plants from seeds and also learn that some of the plants can be grown from their branches. My dear friends, I have learnt that only hard work can give a sweet fruit like beautiful flowers or healthy green vegetables. Me and my brother did hard work with Aita to grow flower's this time. We have planted lot of plants!! We also have an uncle that lives in our old house. Sonaram uncle has helped us for working at kitchen garden.  He is a very experienced person. He knows Agriculture, Building Houses and also to build many interesting things. He made a swing also, for us, in our old house.
We have many vegetables grown in aita's kitchen garden. Those are Potato, Radish , Carrot , Spinach, Mustard, Spanish, Vegetable Mustard (Lai), Mint etc. Many plants of Areca nut (Tamul) also available in the boundary of our plot.

Aita has brought one truck of sand and that was unloaded near our new house. Me and my younger brother (Pablu) played with the sand so much. We love to be in Dhemaji Ghar!!

One day, when we were returning from Dhemaji, Pablu said to father that we want one more truck of sand to play in the 'Colony Campus' also, where we live!! Ha ha ha.. what a nice joke.... Pablu asked my father again again.... that please!!! please!!! please!!! we want one truck of sand in our colony also... please.

On the day of Travelling from Dhemaji to Jorhat, I wake up at 7 O'clock. I saw my Father doing some study work related to his PhD. My mother Monali  was packing the things into bags. Then I brushed my teeths and then my Small Brother Pablo also got up and did brushing of his teeth. After that, we went down from first floor, and my mother made breakfast for us. She gave Cornflakes for me and Maggi for my Small Brother. After we finish eating,  I did some of my assignments and then went for bathing. Then we got dressed.

At 9 o'clock morning, we sat at the car and started our journey towards Jorhat. When we passed the town my Small Brother started seeing mobile and I started to see the beautiful weather around. I saw the beautiful hills of Arunachal Pradesh.

Then I felt asleep for some time. But I woke up when we were at Bogibeel area.  I saw the beautiful Bramhaputra River. Looking around, I found that  down the road, there is a railway track going into the double decker bridge. I saw beautiful cultivations around and enjoyed the natural beauty of the area.

Mother told me that there is a Floating Boat service called KANCHANZANGHA has also started near old Bogibeel Ghat on the Dibrugarh Side. Also another resort named Bogibeen Eco Resort also has been in service for tourists. Father assured us, that we will visit to both places in our next visit.

On a tea break at Moran, We ate Dosa at Monbhari. We took sweets also for our grandfather from there. Then I fall asleep and father drove us back to Jorhat. On reaching my school campus, mother wake up both of us and asked, 'Whose school is this?'... We both got up and started saying 'Our School Our School'.

We miss our native home at Dhemaji and also miss our School too. We are waiting for meeting my friends and teachers at School again, very eagerly.... till then good bye friends....!!!
